Post anything you'd like to see in the first stage which is tentatively set to take place in Lakeside Amusement Park.

That spinning tea cup ride, but the tea cups are filled with blood.

That would be a good set piece for the Otherworld section.

- 'Freak Show' area. The idea is from the horror arcade shooter 'Carnevil' but I feel like the connotations of deformation being exploited in sideshows at amusement parks is something that people can connect with discomfort, even if we don't even feature 'freaks' (because that would be pretty cliche). Of course, this area would require a type of otherworld or the game would have to reflect an early 20th century amusement park, whereas the one featured in Silent Hill 3 is relatively newer. Still, I think the atmosphere we could create resonates with player's imaginations and uncomfortable fascination from one of the darker areas of American entertainment.
- A 'history' exhibit featuring lies about historical events. This idea is similar to the Hall of Heroes section from Bioshock Infinite (http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Hall_of_Heroes). I was trying to think of other exhibits that would appear at an amusement park and I feel like altering historical events and having the player figure out which parts are true and which ones are lies would make for a good puzzle portion of the game. Additionally, this reinforces the Silent Hill tradition of making up one's own truths and neglecting failures, cowardice and malice.
- Petting Zoo with a dying animal. I feel like you can really flesh out how the main character deals with sadness and death by establishing how they'd react to the death of an animal. Amber's cynicism or sympathy, depending on how we want to paint her, will help make her into more of a round character.
I don't want to take ideas directly from the games I mentioned but I figured I should tell you where the idea came from to establish the reasoning behind the choices and what they add to the game. There are a lot of ways to make these ideas our own as well depending on how we want the story to play out.
